Hey, guys! S’been a while (and by ‘a while’ I mean like a day or so).
Yesterday I didn’t work out because my grandparents and I did a six-ish hour drive from where they live to Alexandria so we could see my Uncle graduate and get his PhD and stuff. We stopped at a few restaurants along the way and I ate salads. Even so, I was left feeling like I probably ate over my ‘limit’ for the day. Even though (apart from the balsamic dressing which I refuse to give up you cannot make me) everything I ate was completely healthy, I had no croutons, no creamy dressings or cheese or anything like that, and I ate some fruit for dessert, it just felt that way.
Ah well, it wasn’t by much. Frankly, it’s the best I’ve eaten all week considering. |:
So we’re staying at a really nice hotel, and they have a fitness center. I woke up early this morning so that I could get in a workout, I ran for 46 minutes on the treadmill (would have gone longer but lol bathroom) and then did some… weird… machine thing to work on my arms. Tomorrow will be legs/abs + more running, and then we head back to where my grandparents live. Hopefully I’ll be able to do some more off-treadmill running, even though the hills will kill me.
I also wanted to say that I do not understand Vitamin Water. No, no seriously, I remember that I used to love the stuff and my grandfather was adamant about buying a drink for me yesterday so I thought “well what about this” and I drank half of it this morning and… ew. It tastes like medicine, it really does, and it’s far too sweet and I practically gagged when I drank it. :/ Which sucks, because given the amount of calories burned during my workout and the fact that I’m only able to guestimate the number I’m eating on this trip, I could be way over or way under at the end of the day.
Maybe I’ll buy some KIND bars at the little gift shop thing. They sell those. I saw them, and I ran out… and maybe I’ll buy almonds, too, for the plane ride home.
Final note: I don’t know if it’s a Virginia/D.C. Thing or what, but everywhere is so cold compared to outside that I find myself wishing I brought a lot of large sweaters along with me. Everywhere is cold. Other people do not seem to understand. Maybe I’ll start ordering soup and salad just to keep myself warm. Eeeesh.
edit:
P.S. I’m going to go see Mount Vernon today I am excite.
